Booking a park site? City of Vancouver's picnic booking page notes the city's picnic season runs April through September, with reservable sites going fast once bookings open each spring. Outside city parks, Metro Vancouver Regional Parks' Special Event/Use Permit covers larger group bookings across the regional park system — worth applying for at least a month ahead of your date. Does this work for a family picnic with spouses and kids invited, not just staff?
Yes — all ages and skill levels are welcome, so it works for the mixed crowd a company picnic usually brings: employees, partners, and kids all taking turns at the same setup.
Do we need a permit to bring an outside vendor into a park for our picnic?
That depends on the park. Metro Vancouver Regional Parks requires a Special Event/Use Permit for anything beyond casual drop-in use, generally applied for at least 30 days ahead. We're happy to work from whatever permit your team already has in hand — just confirm your booked time and space with us.
What if it rains on picnic day?
No problem — our setup is fully waterproof, so an outdoor picnic goes ahead rain or shine. We can also move under a tent or pavilion if your park site has one.
How much space do you need in a park or on a field?
A minimum of 10ft by 15ft of clear, reasonably flat space — grass, pavement, or a picnic shelter all work.
How is this different from your corporate team-building package?
Our Corporate Classic package is built for an indoor or office-based team event. This page is for an outdoor, family-inclusive picnic format instead — same simulator, different setting and guest list.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, a non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking date.
