How Much Does a Mobile Golf Simulator Rental Cost?

Real numbers, not a "contact us for pricing" dead end.

If you're comparing mobile golf simulator rental cost across a few vendors before booking your event, here's the short answer for On The Go Golf: a Half Day package is $499 and a Full Day package is $799, flat — not an hourly rate that climbs as the night goes on. Both cover Surrey, Metro Vancouver, and the Fraser Valley. Below is exactly what's included at each tier, what actually moves a quote up, and how that compares to the cost of playing on a real course.

What you get at each price point

The Half Day package ($499) is built for parties, socials, and shorter activations — it includes the full simulator bay and hitting screen, a choice of loaded courses, an on-site attendant for setup, play, and teardown, indoor or outdoor setup rain or shine, and delivery within our core service area. It's the right fit for a Weekend Warrior get-together, a single-session Brewery Night, a birthday, or an office social.

The Full Day package ($799) covers everything in Half Day plus extended attendant coverage and bracket or leaderboard tournament formats on request. It's built for Corporate Classic days, weddings, hotel activations, and all-day Brewery Nights — anything where the simulator needs to keep running for most of the event, not just an hour or two.

What can move your quote up

Every quote starts at $499 or $799. Four things are the most common reasons a final number comes in higher than the base rate:

  • Multiple bays. Larger groups often want more than one simulator running at once so lines stay short. Each added bay is quoted separately.
  • Extended hours. Need us on-site longer than your package window? Extra time beyond your Half Day or Full Day block is billed by the hour.
  • Travel distance. Events outside our core Surrey, Langley & Abbotsford radius may include a travel fee — we'll flag this before you book, not after.
  • Peak season dates. Summer weekends and wedding season see the highest demand. Booking 2+ weeks ahead is the best way to lock in your date and rate.

Outside of those four, the price you see is the price you pay — there's no separate charge for weatherproofing, setup, or teardown; that's all built into the package.

How it compares to playing a real course

A flat $499–$799 event package looks different from green fees once you actually add them up. A round at a public course plus a cart typically runs well past $100 per person before you've covered a single guest, and that's before factoring in a tee-time booking window, a dress code, or a course that isn't set up to host a private party at all. Golf Canada has tracked rising interest in the game nationally, which is also pushing tee times harder to book on short notice — exactly the kind of scheduling friction a mobile setup skips entirely. One flat rate covers the whole group, at your venue, with no course membership or tee time required. Comparing against a country club instead of a public round? See our golf simulator rental vs. country club membership breakdown.

Where it fits in a corporate event budget

If you're planning this as part of a larger corporate event rather than a standalone booking, entertainment is usually one line item among several — venue, catering, and staffing typically take the largest shares of a total event budget. A flat-rate simulator package is easy to slot in as a known, fixed cost rather than an open-ended one, which makes it simpler to lock down early in the planning process. The Greater Vancouver Board of Trade is a solid resource if you're planning at the company or department level and want broader event-budgeting guidance beyond just entertainment.

Does the price change by city?

Not within our core service area. Surrey, Vancouver, Burnaby, Langley, Abbotsford, Richmond, Coquitlam, New Westminster, Delta, White Rock, and Mission all get the same flat $499/$799 package price — no city-based markup. A handful of areas genuinely sit further from our Surrey base, so a travel fee applies there instead: Chilliwack, Hope, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, and Squamish & Whistler. We'll always confirm the exact travel fee amount as part of your quote, never as a surprise after you've booked.

BC's Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act restricts what's sometimes called "drip pricing" — advertising a low headline price without giving the full total equal visibility. Clicklaw's plain-language explainer covers what that means for consumer contracts generally — a useful filter when comparing event vendors: ask for the full total, travel fees included, before you commit.

Getting an accurate quote fast

The fastest way to a firm number is our booking page — tell us your event date, event type, and rough headcount, and we'll confirm which package fits and flag any of the four cost factors above that apply to your event before you commit to anything. Questions

Pricing questions we hear most.

How much does a mobile golf simulator rental cost in Surrey or the Fraser Valley?

On The Go Golf runs two flat-rate packages: Half Day at $499 and Full Day at $799. Both include the full simulator bay and hitting screen, an on-site attendant, and delivery within our core service area.

What makes the price go up from the base rate?

Four things: adding extra simulator bays, extending your booking past the Half Day or Full Day window, traveling outside our core Surrey, Langley & Abbotsford radius, and booking during peak summer or wedding-season dates.

Do you charge by the hour or a flat package rate?

Flat package rate, not hourly. You know the full cost of your Half Day or Full Day booking upfront, before you book.

Is there an extra charge for outdoor or weatherproof setup?

No — indoor or outdoor, rain or shine setup is included standard in every package, not an add-on.

Is a deposit required to lock in a quote?

Yes, a non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking date.

How far ahead should I book to guarantee my rate?

Book 2 or more weeks ahead if you can. Availability during summer wedding and event season is limited, and prices are confirmed at the time of booking, not adjusted later.

Does the price change depending on which city I'm in?

No — Surrey, Vancouver, Burnaby, Langley, Abbotsford, Richmond, Coquitlam, New Westminster, Delta, White Rock, and Mission all get the same flat package price. A travel fee applies only for areas genuinely further from our Surrey base, like Chilliwack or North Vancouver, and we'll always confirm that amount before you book.
